Soundarya Krishnan is a highly motivated and enthusiastic computer science and physics undergraduate with a passion for real-world applications of technology and its impact on end-users. She is currently working as an AIML Rotational Engineer at Apple and has completed her MSML at CMU. She is interested in the application of machine learning/artificial intelligence in healthcare, human-computer interaction, and AI for social good. Soundarya is excited about developing interdisciplinary skills through practical projects or software development. Soundarya has gained valuable experience during her time at Microsoft as a Research Intern and her previous roles at MIT Media Lab and Uber. At MIT Media Lab, she worked as a Research Affiliate and was involved in the development of FASCIA, a sleep mask aimed at facilitating sleep studies in natural settings. She was responsible for analyzing multimodal signals and performing sleep scoring. At Uber, Soundarya worked as a Software Developer Intern and used ideas in Reinforcement Learning to solve the Explore-Exploit Problem in picking Advertising. She also worked on backend software development to support the same, using Java, Python, Hive, Apache Spark, SQL, HDFS, Redis, Amazon AWS Lambda. Soundarya's education history includes a Msc. Physics + B.E. Computer Science from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, which she completed in 2021. Her tech stack includes research scientist, software engineer, AI, ML, SQL, AWS, Reinforcement Learning, HDFS, Spark, Redis, backend, Python, Java, and Apache Hive.
